January 13FCC Missionary present at time of quake now fights through rubble to bring reliefJust moments away from Port Au Prince, FCC Missionary, Tony McCreary and his team were diligently carrying the work of a daily third world country mission group. As the earth began to tremble so their hearts began to break witnessing the seemingly instant devastation. Based approximately 20 miles outside of Port Au Prince, Haiti - McCreary resides and bases the bulk of his outreach in the Dominican Republic.

Meanwhile in the states, Pastor Steve & Melodye Munsey, Senior Pastor of Family Christian Center, began rallying supplies and financial support to put in the hands of our on site heroes. Finally the time came Wednesday afternoon where McCreary and Munsey came voice to voice via telephone. Tears and sorrow could not express the reality that was all around one of our very own. Still, through rubble and mud, Pastor Steve and Tony were determined to do what they could.

About 4 hours after the earth's attack, McCreary & team had transported supplies from the Dominican Republic to Haiti (4 hr drive) having erected a mobile tent station, above which hangs a paper sign reading "Family Christian Center" providing water and sandwiches to hundreds. Through the sleepless nights and many trips to and from the base camp, Tony continues to open his arms and supplies to any and all. Early Thursday marked the beginning of medical and extended relief. Food, Bibles, Prayer, Medicine, Blankets, and water.. all basics and necessities - but none of which can heal the hundreds of thousands of hearts which have been broken there. Tony tells us that as of this Sunday, there still has yet to be sight of any help from the outside world. A lone ranger, it seems, but a hero to many - McCreary drives to and fro gathering supplies purchased outside of PAP with the financial aid of Family Christian Center bringing back life's simple rights to the hurting people of Haiti. Tony also tells us that many groups that have shown up are experiencing resistance from Haitian officials and government, yet he continues to come and go with what he is calling "supernatural favor". New Widows, lost children, witchdoctors, and amputees are just a few of those flooding the all new Haitian Family Christian Center. In a land where voodoo is the national religion, and many do not know the name of Jesus - The Munsey Family, Family Christian Center and Tony are hoping that hope would indeed RISE. Our prayers and relief efforts continue without delay or hesitancy for Tony, and for the nation of Haiti.
